Identified surveys

SurveyLab allows you to conduct identified online surveys, in which the respondent is identified by name or other data that makes it possible to determine who completed the survey (e.g., first name, last name, email, phone number, respondent ID, etc.).

You can choose from four different methods of respondent identification:

Asking for personal data
You can add an open-ended question asking the respondent to provide identifying information.

Email / SMS invitation
This method uses the mailing feature built into SurveyLab.

HTTP referrer
This method uses the HTTP referrer mechanism to identify the source.

Response Key
This method uses the Response Key mechanism.

 Response Key functionality is available for the Professional and Enterprise plan.
