Export file structure

If you are using the export results feature in SurveyLab, the description below will help you understand what information is available in the export files. The data can be divided into three parts: statistical data (automatic), respondent description data (contacts), and survey results.

Statistical Data (Automatic)

Data that is automatically recorded for each survey.

Response IDAn identifier number for an individual survey response.
Response KeyAn identifier number for an individual survey response (provided using the Response Key mechanism).
userAgentDataInformation about the device type, operating system, and browser version.
Start DateThe date the survey was started.
End DateThe date the survey was completed.
Time spent on page 1Time the respondent spent on page 1 (in seconds).
Time spent on page 2Time the respondent spent on page 2 (in seconds).
Time spent on page …Time the respondent spent on page … (in seconds).
Referrer (URL)Information saved using the HTTP referrer mechanism.

NOTE: The Reference (URL) field may be unavailable in some cases.

Respondent Description Data (Contacts)

Data linked to the SurveyLab address book. Available when using the SurveyLab mailing feature and when the relevant fields in the Contacts module are filled out before the survey begins. This information is optional.

NOTE. Custom Fields 1, 2, 3, 4 were created to allow precise description of contacts with additional information such as company, country, city, industry, gender, occupation, or age.
